CAMDEN, N.J. - The questions in the coverage of the Delaware River Port Authority do not stop.
The latest question comes in a report by the Philadelphia Inquirer over the weekend that says the DRPA is holding onto millions of dollars in what it called unspent cash.
The authority still has $54.5 million in economic development funds. That's the money they were giving out for projects like the Kimmel Center, museums and the Presidents' House on Independence Mall.
They say the money hasn't been used so far, and it adds up to $1 for round-trip toll on the four DRPA bridges this year.
So, some of that money is tied up in projects, including the Presidents' House Memorial and the reopening of an old PATCO station – the one under Franklin Square, across the street from the Philadelphia Police Headquarters.
