Need a friend today to go out and do some activities with? Well, you can rent one.
Rentafriend.com is the latest trend sweeping the nation for those who want a shopping pal, a wingman or woman, even just a workout buddy.
"People sign up for free to be friends and post a profile and name a suggested price from $10 to $150," said Joshua Persky, of Rentafriend.com.
Only six months after its launch, the website is already receiving 100,000 hits a month. It has 2,000 "renters" and roughly 200,000 "friends" around the country to choose from.
