PHILADELPHIA - Big businesses have been taking big hits thanks to the economic recession. But some small and medium-sized businesses are finding ways to thrive in the troubled economy.
Job-creation remains one top of President Barack Obama's agenda, with a push for a new bill that includes tax breaks for small-business hiring.
Fox 29 Consumer Reporter Michelle Buckman reports on how those small and medium businesses could be the key to creating job growth and getting us out of this recession.
She reported that they may not be household names, but it's companies like Vertex and MedRisk that will help put people back to work long before the big guys. Both companies continued to hire last year and say they'll add even more jobs in 2010.
