Phils 12-0 In Other Games Of Last Four Series

PHILADELPHIA - So, the game two jinx is alive and well.

Thursday marked the fourth straight series since last year's World Series that the Phillies have dropped game two. It happened against the Rays, Rockies and Dodgers, and now the Yankees.

The good news? The Phillies are 12-0 in all other games of the last four playoff series.

That should give the team and its faithful followers back in Philadelphia reason to be over-the-top optimistic as the World Series goes back down the New Jersey Turnpike, from the South Bronx to South Philly, for game three Saturday.

The Phillies left New York right after Thursday night's game and, when their train arrived at 30th Street Station just after 3 a.m., they were welcomed by fans.

Chase and Jen Utley led the team up the escalator. One of the fans was dressed as a mini Phillies Phanatic.

Fans leaving Yankee Stadum said they were disappointed but happy with the split and looking forward to Cole Hamels pitching at Citizens Bank Park.
