Tax Day Tea Parties Coming To Philly

Parties To Protest Government Spending

PHILADELPHIA - Some folks are taking a page from history, protesting what they see as wasteful government spending.

"Tax Day Tea Parties" are planned not just for Boston but all across the country this April 15.

It all started with a rant from CNBC's Rick Santelli back in February.
Since then, tea party rallies have popped up in Chicago, Cincinnati and West Chester, N.Y.

Diana Reimer, an organizer for Philadelphia's tea party to be held April 15 at LOVE Park, joined "Good Day Philadelphia" on Thursday morning to discuss why she's involved with the event, the political affiliations of those who are getting involved and if they'll actually be dumping tea.

Tea parties are being held nationwide on April 15, including in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
