PHILADELPHIA - One former Eagles employee said the team doesn't really believe in second chances.
Dan Leone said he was fired earlier this year from his job as the west gate chief after posting a message on Facebook blasting the decision not to re-sign Brian Dawkins.
Leone said said he was not given a warning or suspension; he was just fired over the phone.
Now, with all of the talk about second chances for newly-signed quarterback Michael Vick after his release from prison, Leone doesn't understand why he can't get his job back.
"They're preaching, you know, second chance this, second chance that. All I did was make a harmless mistake and write something online, and I was persecuted for it," leone said.
A spokeswoman for the Eagles said Leone won't be getting his job back. She said he knew the rules and still broke them, not just on Facebook but when he talked to the media.
Leone joined "Good Day Philadelphia" live Tuesday morning to talk some more about the situation.
