PHILADELPHIA - It was a standard Andy Reid press conference on Monday, as he took responsibility for the Eagles tough loss to the Cowboys.
The Eagles lost, 20-16, in a game marked by clock mismanagement, two bungled referee challenges and two big Donovan McNabb turnovers.
“There are no excuses for what went on,” Reid said. “We have to do a better job starting with me.”
Reid said his team just made too many mistakes.
“That’s why you work on it every day,” Reid said.
He also acknowledged that two plays he challenged about referee spots really hurt.
“The two missed challenges on my side of things were a problem. It’s my responsibility,” Reid said.
Reid also dismissed comments by Michael Vick that Vick was not a good fit for the Eagles.

“Michael Vick is one of the very good quarterbacks in
the NFL. That’s not what he is, a wildcat quarterback,”
he said.
“For this team here, (he is) presenting another threat for defenses,” Reid said.

“I am not disappointed,” Reid said about Vick’s performance for the Eagles.
Akeem Jordan is also likely out of the Chargers game with a hyperextended knee.
The Eagles fell to 5-3 while the New York Giants are 5-4 after a 5-0 start.
Romo finished 21 of 34 for 307 yards, one TD and one interception.
Donovan McNabb was shaky after a strong performance in a 40-17 rout of the Giants last week. McNabb threw for 227 yards, one TD and was intercepted twice for the first time this season.
