Philadelphia sports fans are noted for their hospitality to visiting fans from other cities.

For example, if you are from Dallas and it's snowing in Philadelphia, our fans will let you know what snow looks like (since it doesn't really snow that much in Texas) and they may engage you in a friendly snowball fight.

If you are from New York and wear a Mets jersey to the Phillies game, you may get a few comments on your outfit.

If you are from Canada, a few fans may try to park your car for you and help remove your license plate.

But as with any city, there are some local customs you should observe, to be safe and enjoy your stay in the city of Brotherly Love.

1. Don't yell "Tase Me Bro!"

If you asked to get tasered at a local sports event, security officials in Philadelphia may oblige you.

2. Don't yell "Flash Mob!" at the game (or any place in Philadelphia).

The Philadelphia police and local security officials will not be amused.

3. Don't vomit or puke on Flyers fans at the game.

This is also not regarded as a friendly gesture and fans may administer their own justice.

4. Try not to double park in Philadelphia.

See "Parking Wars" for more information.

5. Don't spray paint the Rocky statue with "Go Hawks!"

You will need to deal with a big power than the local cops - Sylvester Stallone.

6. Don't ask if Philly Girls really have moustaches.

The Boston Bruins tried that and you see where it got them.

7. Don't take sandbags or rock salt to the Wachovia Center for the game.

That is only allowed in Montreal.

8. Don't go into a hoagie shop and ask for a Sub.

Hoagies are like subs, but they have a different name. Our most prominent local sub is Michael Vick.

9. Don't brag that Chicago is the home of Donovan McNabb.

We hear T.O. wants to play for the Bears - we can make that happen.

10. Don't say I want a real Chicago Style Pizza - not that sucky pizza from Philadelphia you guys make!

Respect the local cuisine. You may have to eat at Pizzeria Uno here, but don't rip the local food.
