Flyers’ Holmgren Hurt In Bike Crash

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren is hospitalized after being involved in a serious bike accident in New Jersey, says CSNPhilly.com.
Holmgren suffered broken ribs and a broken shoulder as well as other injuries and required stiches after the accident in South Jersey.
He is hospitalized at Cooper Medical Center in Camden, N.J.
Players offered their best wishes for Holmgren on Twitter, including James van Riemsdyk, who tweeted Holmgren was wearing a helmet. Defenseman Matt Carle called it a "scary, scary situation."
The team did not immediately respond to an email from The Associated Press seeking confirmation. A message left for an Avalon police spokesman was not immediately returned.
