Eagles Release Shawn Andrews

The Philadelphia Eagles have released former All-Pro guard Shawn Andrews – we have Shawn’s reaction.

Andrews’ Twitter account is private but Fox 29 saw his reaction to the news on Twitter.

“Bye Bye Birds!” Andrews messaged on his account.

Andrews was first-round draft pick but has played little in the past two years because of injuries and personal problems.

“We appreciate the efforts and contributions of Shawn while he was in Philadelphia,” said head coach Andy Reid. “We have, however, decided to move in another direction.”
