Exclusive: Fox 29 Bumps Into Vick

PHILADELPHIA - In exclusive video, Fox 29 bumps into Michael Vick at a Philadelphia courthouse on Tuesday, and we get a cryptic comment from Vick about the birthday party where his former co-defendant was shot on June 25.

Michael Vick had little to say but did tell Fox 29 he thought he was getting fair coverage in the media after an incident at another birthday event in Virginia almost two weeks ago.

When asked if he was checking in as part of his probation, Vick answered, "no doubt."

We then asked Vick if he thought he had been railroaded by the media for the last couple weeks.

"No, I haven't been railroaded at all," Vick said.

Then Vick had an interesting answer when we asked him what he thought about all the attention his "All White" party got in late June.

"There should of never been a party," Vick said.

On June 25, Quanis Phillips was shot early shortly after 2 a.m. outside a club called Guadalajara in Virginia Beach, where a 30th birthday party was being thrown for Vick. Phillips had been a co-defendant in Vick's dog-fighting case.

Virginia Beach police have closed the case and say Vick is not a suspect . The shooting also led to the NFL and the Philadelphia Eagles to start their own fact-gathering effort about the party.

Vick has said in statements that he was not at the scene of the shooting and was not involved in any way.

Vick is also set to appear at another "birthday" event next weekend as he hosts a charity golf event run by a nightclub outside Atlanta.

Echelon 3000 Ultra Bistro in Stone Mountain, Ga., is hosting "The Michael Vick Birthday Celebrity Golf Tournament" along with a group called MillerTyme Entertainment. The actual golf will be played at Heritage Golf Links in Tucker, Ga.

Vick's co-host for the event is Willard "Chuck" Lewis, the co-Founder of One Georgia Bank. Promotional material says the birthday event will benefit three local nonprofits: the Georgia Sickle Cell Foundation, the Association on Higher Education and Disability, and Positive American Youth.

Echelon 3000 is a large night club outside Atlanta.

In its online gallery of celebs who've visited the club includes several photos of former Philadelphia 76ers star Allen Iverson with club patrons.
