PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia Flyers forward Scott Hartnell has been named to the NHL All-Star Game as a replacement for Chicago's Jonathan Toews.
Toews, the Blackhawks' captain, was placed on injured reserve Tuesday with an upper body injury.
FOX 29's John Anderson tweeted that the All-Star game won't miss much scoring as a result of the swap. Toews has 27 goals and 23 assists for 50 points on the season, but Hartnell has 25 goals and 19 assists for 44 points.
Hartnell joins linemate Claude Giroux, defenseman Kimmo Timonen and rookie teammates Matt Read and Sean Couturier in Ottawa for All-Star Weekend.
