SI's Jon Heyman is the second beat reporter to confirm the Phillies possible interest in a trade for Toronto ace Roy Halladay.
On his Twitter account, Heyman said the Phillies are "quietly in" on trade talks with Toronto.
Ken Rosenthal, the FoxSports reporter who broke the Cliff Lee story, said earlier the Phillies are one of two teams that could get Roy Halladay as soon as today.
Ruben Amaro has already said that the odds of getting Halladay are slim, but that could be a negotiating tactic.
The Phillies and the Los Angeles Angels have made serious offers for the Toronto Blue Jays ace, who is considered the best starting pitcher in baseball.
Rosenthal says JA Happ and either Michael Taylor or Domonic Brown are part of the Phillies offer Halladay.
The Angels, as first reported by the Toronto Sun, are offering left-hander Joe Saunders, shortstop Erick Aybar and minor-league center fielder Peter Bourjos.
The Phillies would also trade Joe Blanton in a separate deal to make room for Halladay.
The New York Daily News also says Cole Hamels was a name discussed with Toronto.
The combination of Halladay and Cliff Lee would make the Phillies a huge favorite to win their third consecutive National League pennant.
