Roy Oswalt Pulls A Pedro Martinez

Former Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Roy Oswalt will sit out the start of the 2012 baseball season as he waits for a spot on the right baseball team.

Will that team be the Phillies again?

Oswalt has been linked to the Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers, but he also reportedly wanted $10 million a season.

Through his agent, Oswalt says he will wait until midseason and try to sign with a contender.

Oswalt could be a second half bargain for somebody, but also said in the past that he could be content retired and living back in Mississippi.

Pedro Martinez took a similar approach with the Phillies in 2009, and came back after the All-Star break to pitch well in Philadelphia.
