Reminder: Health Department to Hold H1N1 Vaccine Clinics for Pregnant Woman
and Children 5 to 9 years old
October 27, 2009 (Norristown, PA) The Montgomery County Health Department (MCHD) has
scheduled two walk-in H1N1 flu clinics for pregnant women and 5 to 9 year olds who are
Montgomery County residents. Due to limited supply of H1N1 vaccine these clinics will
only offer H1N1 vaccine to pregnant women and 5 to 9 year olds, who are a high priority
risk group as determined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Pennsylvania
State Health Department. There is no charge for the immunization. Both the nasal spray and
the flu shots will be available while supplies last.
The dates, times and locations of the clinics are:
Thursday, October 29th from 10am to 1pm at Congregation Beth Or, 239 Welsh
Road, Maple Glen
Friday, October 30th from 10am to 1pm at Fairview Village Church of the
Nazarene, 3044 West Germantown Pike, Eagleville
Residents will not be allowed to enter the parking area before 9:45 am.
The 5 to 9 year olds will require a second dose of H1N1 vaccine approximately four weeks
after receiving the first vaccine.
A screening form for the 5 to 9 year olds can be found on the Health Department's website at
www.health.montcopa.org. Parents/guardians can download, print and fill out the form and
bring it to the H1N1 flu clinic. This form will determine which vaccine your child will receive.
Children must be accompanied by an adult with a valid driver's license for residency
verification.
Pregnant women are not able to receive the nasal spray but will receive a flu shot.
This vaccine will only be administered to Montgomery County Residents. All noncounty
residents will not be able to receive the vaccine and will be turned away. Over the
next couple of weeks to months as more vaccine arrives, the availability in the surrounding
counties should increase.

The distribution of H1N1 vaccine is being coordinated by The Pennsylvania Department of
Health (PADOH). PADOH has been distributing H1N1 vaccine to Montgomery County health
care providers and to schools in Montgomery County. Residents should contact their health
care providers or school to inquire when the vaccine will be available. Most schools have
registered with PADOH to be such a distribution site for their students.
Additional community flu clinics could be added, depending on vaccine availability.
