Pennsylvania Representative Bob Brady has been involved in the negotiations between Septa union workers and the city.
Despite intense negotiations, Transport Workers Union Local 234 walked off the job at 3am on Tuesday.
Brady told "Good Day," both sides made a lot of progress and they're "not really that far apart." Brady says both sides "are reasonable."
The congressman explained that the union and the city a stuck on several issues, "a little bit of all three." They include: pay, health care benefits, and pension.
Brady is hopeful the strike will be resolved soon. "This strike has to be over, they can't strike forever."
