Attorney Discusses 'Flash Mobs'

Many of the teenagers involved in flash mobs around Philadelphia have been in court this week.

Danny Cevallos represented one of the alleged offenders.

Cevallos explained some of the teens said they gathered for a dance group, others said they were just there. "But in court for the most part the judge was not buying it."

Cevallos' client was present for the February 16th incident at The Gallery in the Center City. The teenager faced rioting charges. "The commonwealth has to show that you, plus two other people, were involved or encouraging or inciting some kind of misdemeanor or felony."

Cevallos explained most of the teenagers who have appeared in court "know they are in trouble, no question." He says the juvenile justice system works. Some of the offenders are being sent to juvenile centers where they will get help learning right from wrong.
