Fit To Ride: Speed Training

If you are looking to increase your speed for your next bike ride, there are exercises you can do at home.

Joe Sigismando from Bally's demonstrated on "Good Day Philadelphia."  If you are looking to increase your speed, Sigismando recommends strengthening your quads. You can do this with a series of step exercises using a simple, stable box.

Sigismando said doing these exercises a couple days a week will strengthen your legs, helping to increase your peddling speed.

"Good Day's" John Anderson is training for another ride, The American Cancer Society's Bike-A-Thon. It will be held Sunday, July 12 rain or shine, beginning at 6:30am at the Ben Franklin Bridge.
