Monday's Menu: Crab Cakes

There's nothing like a scrumptious crab cake any time of year.

Morton's Steve McGrath shared some crab cake secrets on "Good Day." He said the best ingredient to make your crab cakes extra tasty is a little crumbled bacon.

McGrath said nice big chunks of crab meat are critical for a good crab cake.  McGrath lightly tosses the meat with bread crumbs, parsley and shallots. In a separate bowl, whip up some egg yolks, mustard and mayonaise. MGrath said adding bacon gives the crab cake a little extra kick. After combining all the ingredients into patties, sautee the cakes in a little butter.
