Aniston First 'Friend' to Get Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

(NewsCore) - Actress Jennifer Aniston was immortalized on Hollywood's Walk of Fame Wednesday with her own star -- the first of the "Friends" cast to achieve the honor.

Aniston's boyfriend Justin Theroux and her father, John Aniston, watched on as the plaque was unveiled next to those of other entertainment legends, Us Magazine reported.

Meanwhile her "Just Go With It" costar and funnyman Adam Sandler amused onlookers on Hollywood Boulevard with anecdotes about the 43-year-old, E! Online reported.

"She prayed for three things," Sandler said. "To have everyone in the entire world be fascinated with her haircut, to one day star in a movie about an evil leprechaun who kills people, and most importantly, receive a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame. Well today, Jennifer, the trifecta is here."

The first reference was to the "Rachel" style Aniston sported in hit 1990s comedy "Friends," which was named after her character and spawned millions of imitations, while the second was to her role in a 1993 comedy-horror called "Leprechaun." TV smash "Friends" was her breakthrough role, alongside Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.

Aniston had said she was "humbled, flattered and nervous" about being honored with the star at a press conference for new film "Wanderlust" last week, Us Magazine reported.

"I was born here and it's sort of something you went and saw as a kid and got excited about just walking and seeing the names. To imagine that you're going to be there is really special. It's fun."
