IRWINDALE, Ca. - Thousands of bags of prewashed salad and romaine lettuce are being recalled over concerns that they may be contaminated by with E.coli.
Ready Pac Foods of Irwindale, California shipped the salad to fifteen states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming.
The affected salad has a Use-by Date of Nov. 18, 2011 and includes the following products:
No one has become sick from this lettuce; however one sample did test positive for E.coli O157:H7, according to the FDA.
Consumers who may have purchased the affected product are asked to record the Use-by Date and UPC number, immediately dispose of the product, and contact the Ready Pac Consumer Affairs representative, toll-free at (800) 800-7822, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Pacific Time) to obtain a full refund.
