DELAWARE CITY, Del. (AP) - Delaware environmental officials say nearly 200 pounds of sulfur dioxide has been released into the air at the Delaware City Refinery. The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control says 195 pounds of sulfur dioxide, a chemical compound the Environmental Protection Agency considers hazardous, were released into the air.

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Police in Dover say an 82-year-old man was tied up in his home, stabbed and robbed by two people who threatened to cut off his ear. A spokesman says the man called 911 from his house after he was able to free himself seven hours later yesterday morning.

CAPE HENLOPEN, Del. (AP) - The start of Easter weekend means it's time for the annual high-flying Great Delaware Kite Festival at Cape Henlopen State Park. The 46th edition of the annual Good Friday event is free and open to the public, but normal park entrance fees apply. The competition includes various age categories and both homemade and manufactured kites.

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware State police are looking for a woman who robbed a Dover convenience store at gunpoint. It happened about 2:20 yesterday morning at Royal Farms on West Lebanon Road.
