BOWERS BEACH, Del. (AP) - Delaware officials say more than $6 million has helped them protect more of the state's "Bayshore" resource in Kent County. Officials announced the acquisition of a 750-acre addition to the Ted Harvey Conservation Area near Dover yesterday.

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (AP) - Officials in Rehoboth Beach are set to install signs to enforce the smoking ban set to go into effect in many areas. Board of Commissioners member Stan Mills says about 170 signs are being made or updated for the new ordinance. It will take effect on May 15.

MIDDLETOWN, Del. (AP) - Delaware's Supreme Court has ruled that the state's Department of Transportation must pay legal and other fees for a Middletown couple who successfully challenged an attempt to condemn their property for a highway project. The case has been sent back to Superior Court so it can determine what Jack and Mary Ann Lawson are owed.

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Officials at Dover Air Force base say nearby residents may hear more noise than usual during demolitions training. The 436th Civil Engineer Squadron's Explosive Ordnance Disposal Flight will conduct the training until 2 o'clock this afternoon.
