Dr. Mike: Swimmer Fran Crippen's Death

Dr. Mike Cirigliano talks with "Good Day" about the death of Montgomery County native Fran Crippen during a race overseas.

The 26-year-old from Conshohocken, a rising star in the swimming community, died in the final stages of the world championships in the United Arab Emirates.

Swimmers say they think the water was too warm and that Crippen might have suffered a heart attack.

The director of the United Arab Emirates swimming association says "overexertion" caused his death but played down heat as a factor, saying all safety measures were in place, including lifeguards, boats and divers.
