Audience member Janet asks Dr. Oz which is better, flax seed oil or flax seed powder?
Dr. Oz responds that he likes the oil version, stating that it’s simply easier for him to use.
notes that flax powder is just as good, but to stay away from ingesting flax seeds that
ground-up. Dr. Oz further explains that when flax seeds are not ground-up, the valuable benefits of the oil from the kernel are missed (and not digested).
On that note, Dr. Oz notes that all tree nuts consumed are about 85% digested. Tree nuts
to go through one’s body without getting fully absorbed, but their fiber benefit remains.
