There is an extra strength flu shot available this fall. But is it right for you?
Dr. Mike explained on "Good Day" if you are over 65 years old you should get the extra strength dose."If you are older you tend to not mount the same kind of response. The body doesn't have the same immune response that you would when you are younger."
Dr. Mike also reiterated the flu vaccine contains a dead virus and cannot give you the flu. He reminded viewers a flu shot is recommended for anyone six-months and older.
Dr. Mike also discussed a recent study about drinking enough water. Most people don't get enough water during the day. "By the time you start to feel thirsty you are already dehydrated." Your body needs six to eight glasses of water each day.
