Fox 29 health contributor Dr. Mike Cirigliano from the University of Pennsylvania thinks Michael Vick had more than an injured hand in the Eagles loss to the Giants.
Cirigliano believes from what he could see of the injury, and how Vick’s hand looked in a post-game picture, that Vick likely has a fractured fifth metacarpal.
He would not put a timeline on his return, but Cirigliano believes Vick was not 100 percent physically during the game.
Vick had a concussion in the loss to the Falcons and in his opinion, Vick wasn’t playing well during the game.
“I don’t think Vick looked good before he hurt his hand, I think the concussion negatively affected him,” he said.
Cirigliano is sure the doctors didn’t event thing by the book during last week, but he recommends rest for Vick.
He also said that the fracture will take several weeks to heal, but Cirigliano says opponents will target the hand if Vick plays too soon.
