A kid from Valley Forge, Pa., is getting a lot of attention for his pipes on YouTube.
He's a triple threat – he sings, acts and plays music. But 14-year-old Kory Shore says this is really more about his message.
Shore has been called by some the "Tea Party's Justin Bieber."
By Friday morning, his video for a song titled "Crying for America" was approaching 110,000 hits on YouTube.
Here's a sample of the song's lyrics: "I'm crying for America / I'm dying for America / Stand back up and spread her wings \ And soar the skies again."
Despite the comparisons to Bieber, Shore says he's different.
This debut song has gotten a lot of political criticism. Some says there must be someone feeding him lines, or pushing a political view.
But the 14-year-old says no, he writes the lyrics on his own.
"It's about me wanting America to be a better place, it's about my generations' future because we're in trouble."
Shore says his main goal is to write songs that make people think.
We should mention that Shore is not affiliated with the Tea Party, nor are the lyrics to his song.
He records and shoots at D4 Creative, an advertising agency and production company his parents own in Manayunk.
There have been questions about whether he would ever do "American Idol." He says it would be a great gig if he got it, but right now he doesn't even really watch.
