FBI agents are on the hunt for a west suburban bank robber who literally "gave them the slip."
When a north riverside TCF bank branch was robbed on March 23rd, investigators say the suspect handed the teller a demand note written on a bank withdrawal slip. It said something to the effect of: "give me all the money in your drawer. Don't give me anything that will blow up in my face or I will shoot you." Witnesses add the bandit also spoke to the teller in a deep, phony voice .While he threatened to shoot if his demands were not met; agents say the bandit did only acted as if he had a gun by putting hand in his coat. No weapon was displayed.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the bandit he fled the bank on foot heading west. He had indicated to the teller in the note he had someone waiting for him.
Despite giving them "the slip," investigators do have several good security camera photos of the suspect's face. While they have received a few tips on this case, agents still want the public to take a good look at them. Here is a description of what agents say this bandit looks like. He is described as a white male, in his 40's, 6' 0", with a heavy build, brown hair and a beard.
He is considered armed and dangerous.
