Police: Arrest Made in Chandler Homicide Case

Chandler police announced an arrest Tuesday after a woman's bloody body was found inside a residence Monday.

The suspect in the case is identified as 31-year-old Jaime Coronado of Chandler. He was tracked down Monday night by U.S. Marshalls and arrested in Mesa near Country Club and U.S. Highway 60.

Coronado was booked into the Maricopa County Jail in Phoenix on first degree murder.

Chandler police said that physical evidence found on Coronado connected him to the death of 41-year-old Michelle Melinda Morales.

Police received a call from a landlord Monday afternoon saying a body was lying on the floor inside a vacant house.

Police did not release details on how Morales died.
