Event To Be Held In October; More Details To Come

PHILADELPHIA - Dr. Oz was in Philadelphia over the weekend for his 15-minute physical at Temple University.

On Monday morning, he joined "Good Day" with another big announcement.

Dr. Oz will be coming back to town to run a large free clinic.

"We'll be there in October. We're putting together logistics, so we'll have details. Of course, we'll talk about it through FOX 29 the entire summer."

Dr. Oz said that when he handed a report card of health to Mayor Michael Nutter right after Saturday's clinic, "We had to admit that Philadelphia is not as healthy as it could be, not only by national standards but by the standards we ought to have for ourselves."

He said the 15-minute physicals revealed a lot of hypertension and diabetes.

"We can do this together, and thankfully, because of these report cards, we now understand where we stand, so we know where to go," Dr. Oz said.

The doctor also talked about Paula Abdul joining him on his show Tuesday to talk about a medical condition she has not previously revealed.
