Shots Fired at Wayne Co. Sheriff Deputy

DETROIT (WJBK) -

Police are looking for two dangerous men after they fired guns at a Wayne County Sheriff's Deputy at close range. The deputy was part of an undercover sting operation at the Marathon gas station at 7 Mile and Biltmore in Detroit.

The officer was successful at taking cover, and is expected to be okay.

The suspects are described as two black males, one had braids and the other was about 6-feet-tall with a slim build. They were seen leaving the scene in a white or silver older model Mercury Grand Marquis.

Any one with information is asked to call Detroit police or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
