PHILADELPHIA -

It looks like a Philadelphia corrections officer is a markedman. Somebody shot him two weeks ago, and now his house in Frankford has beenfirebombed.

Two Molotov cocktails were found on the sidewalk outside VictorGuzman's home on the 1200 block of Adams Avenue after it was firebombed at 5:34 a.m. Saturday.

Guzman and his wife are OK. They were sleeping inside at thetime.

This latest attempt on his life left Guzman too emotionallydrained to talk.

Nearly two weeks ago, on May 20, police investigated ashooting – reportedly over a cigarette – outside Guzman's house.

The 50-year-old man was shot in his arm. His 26-year-old stepson,Edwin Pagan, died after being shot three times.

Hours after a Molotov cocktail was thrown through Guzman'sfront window, once a again threatening his life, police released a picture ofthe shooting suspect, identified as Jalil Cooper.

Pagan's uncle, Tito Pagan, wants justice, saying the situationis "ridiculous" and adding that police need to get the suspect offthe street.

Police aren't saying if Cooper is also a suspect in thebombing that cracked the Guzman's front window. But we've learned more than ahalf-dozen Molotov cocktails in 40-ounce bottles were found in and around thehome.

Some said they are concerned about nearby children and theirneighbors after waking to the smell of the Molotov cocktails.

Police parked outside the Guzmans' house tostand guard while the family packed up and moved out for a while. Familymembers hope police will quickly put an end to the threats on the Guzmans'lives.
