Country Music Star Kenny Chesney To Perform Free Summer Concert In Wildwood

Fox 29 has learned that country music mega star Kenny Chesney will perform a free concert in Wildwood on June 20, 2012.
Chesney originally wanted to hold the concert on a boardwalk and considered Seaside, NJ. but Chesney saw the Wildwood Beach and loved it.
The concert will be televised on the Youtube channel "Vevo." The production will utilize 15-18 cameras and will use one of Pink Floyd's former stages. The stage, described as a "monster stage" by a source, will sit between Mariner's Pier and the old Fun Pier and will face the boardwalk. 30-40 trailers will transport stage and production equipment and it is expected to take four days to build the stage on the beach.
the concert is sponsored by America Express. A fenced in area in front of the stage will accommodate American Express customers who will get the first 15,000 tickets. The area around the fenced-in section and the Boardwalk will accommodate any others. there will also be two jumbotrons set up.
The concert is set to begin at 8:30pm and end at 10:15pm.
Tomorrow, a 10:00 am news conference will be held at Wildwood Convention Center for the official announcement
