Alligator Found In Popular New Jersey Park

Posted: Updated:
COLLINGSWOOD, N.J. -

An alligator has been found in Cooper River Park. It was pulled from the river on the Collingswood side of the park.

Glenn Hudson found the baby gator Wednesday. Hudson and his brother used a fishing rod to wrestle the three-foot gator from the banks.

This is the third reported gator sighting in South Jersey this year.

Fish and wildlife are still trying to figure out how the alligator got in the river. It's likely a pet someone dumped.

The gator has been taken to a Maryland reptile sanctuary.
