Her father is one of the most recognized names in business and on television.
But Ivanka Trump has made a name for herself, with a fashion line, a New York Times best-selling book and, of course, her role on "The Apprentice."
Ivanka Trump joined "Good Day" from New York on Thursday morning and spoke about the ongoing feud between her father and Miss Pennsylvania, who resigned her title this week less than 24 hours after the Miss USA pageant.
Just 24 hours after the Miss USA pageant, Miss Pennsylvania, Sheena Monnin, from Cranberry, Pa., resigned on her Facebook page, calling the organization fraudulent and trashy and claiming she witnessed the pageant being rigged.
Pageant organizers confirmed Monnin's resignation, but not for the reason she claims. They say she left because of a new rule allowing transgendered contestants to compete.
Donald trump isn't taking allegations his miss u-s-a pageant is fixed lightly. He says Monnin is just mad that she lost. He's giving her 24 hours to apologize for her comments, and if she doesn't, he'll sue.
Ivanka Trump said of the feud, "Well, her allegations are without merit. And, truthfully, I feel bad for her. I think that this is going to reflect very poorly on her. I think she had a good title, I think she didn't make it – in that she did not win, or get within the top five – and I think it looks like what it is, which is sour grapes."
"So, it's never good to come across too vehemently as a sore loser and, you know, I think it reflects badly on her personally," Trump's daughter added.
Donald Trump has said he wants an apology or he has threatened to sue her. Would he go all of the way to court?
"Well, I mean, I think what he's asking for is very reasonable, you know, to apologize for the claims that she's made, which aren't accurate. Otherwise, you know, obviously, the pageant has a reputation to protect, and it will do that," Ivanka Trump said.
"So, I think he gave her an opportunity to do the right thing, and I think she should seriously think about that," she added.
The daughter of "the Donald" also talked during the interview about balancing a career with motherhood as well as her new fashion line.
