A Perkasie police officer is injured and a man is dead after a violence confrontation on Clymer Road in Sellersville Saturday afternoon.
According to police, around 4 p.m., police had been trying to place a man under arrest for reasons that were not immediately known. The man was allegedly combative with police and several officers were attempting to subdue him.
During the course of the incident, one of the officers fired his weapon and shot and killed the man, who was not identified Saturday.
Police said one of the officers was injured, but his condition was not immediately known.
Detectives with the Bucks County District Attorney's office had been called out to the scene to investigate the police-involved shooting. District Attorney David Heckler said Saturday he had been made aware of the incident and would review the circumstances to see if the use of deadly force was appropriate.
