Archbishop Wood Rallies To Help And Honor A Fellow Student

Posted: Updated:

In Bucks County, kids at Archbishop Wood High School rallied together to support a fellow student.

Six months ago, Jeff McDonald lost his leg and made the transition to a prosthetic.  Jeff was struck by how many kids were not so lucky - they could not afford a prosthetic limb- and he then knew what he had to do.   He set out to help other kids!

The student council organized a picnic and a 5K to honor Jeff and his efforts.

All the proceeds from the event went on to benefit the Philadelphia Limb Foundation.

The foundation will use the finds for prosthesis for those who need them.
