Masked Men Break Into Congressman Bob Brady's Home

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Two masked men broke into the Philadelphia home of Congressman Bob Brady.

Brady was not home at the time of the incident. However, his wife, Deborah Brady, was home at the time of the break-in, and she's the one who scared the burglars away.

Deborah Brady said she didn't answer the door for three men Friday morning because she didn't see a car parked out front and her husband wasn't home. She watched the three men walk down the block to a black car, but then 45 minutes later her cable went out.

She then saw three men walk across her back patio and sit on her furniture. She couldn't call 911 because her phone lines were cut. When they tried to get in the back door, the congressman's wife stepped up.

She is OK after the incident but says they are looking into upgrading their security system.

Thursday weather looks damp and stormy.  It will be mild and muggy to start with spotty showers early followed by afternoon and evening storms.  Highs in the upper 70s with winds out of the SW 5-10 mph. Some of the storms will produce locally heavy rain and gusty winds.

This system is from the same cold front that caused the midwest tornadoes. It will also usher in cooler air for the holiday weekend.
