Rodney King wanted everyone to just get along. It was 1992 when he uttered those famous words following one of the most memorable events in our nation's history.
It was 20 years ago that the riots broke out on the street of Los Angeles. More than 50 people were killed and thousands of buildings were destroyed shortly after the acquittal of four white police officers accused of beating Rodney.
Much has happened since that day. Rodney King has written a new book detailing his ordeal and his life after. It's called "The Riot Within: My Journey from Rebellion to Redemption."
Rodney King joined Mike and Sheinelle live on Good Day back in April.
