Donut Shop Safe Pushed Out Drive-Thru Window

Posted: Updated:

Philadelphia police are trying to track down a robber who used the drive-thru window for his escape with a donut shop's safe.

It was Friday at 4:30a.m. when the male was captured on surveillance video forcing open the drive-thru window of a Dunkin Donuts located on the 6200 block of Front Street.

Once inside, the male forced open the office door and took a safe containing $20,000 in cash.

The offender then pushed the safe out the drive-thru window and fled in an unknown direction, police said.

The male was described as being between 5 feet 9inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black mask, a black T-shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.

If you see the man, don't approach him. Police say contact 911 immediately. To submit a tip, you can call 215-686-TIPS (8477) or the Northwest Detective Division at 215-686-3153. You can also text a tip to PPD TIP (773847) or use this electronic form to submit a tip anonymously.
