If you desperately needed the money to support your family, would you be willing to sell something priceless? That's exactly what a local Army veteran is doing online.

WOODBURY, N.J. -

FOX 29 gets results for a local veteran who has been out of work for years and decided to put one of his war medals up on eBay to help make ends meet.

When we first introduced you to Bill Shephard on Tuesday, no one had made a bid.

Then the bids started coming in.

We talked to Bill on Thursday morning, and he decided to sell the medal to the highest bidder for $5,000.

Shephard says he will spend the money on overdue utility bills, and expenses for the landscaping business he is starting up.

Anything extra he'll donate to a Philadelphia organization for homeless veterans.
