Suspect Arrested In SEPTA Bus Beating

Fox 29 has learned that the suspect wanted in connection with a violent attack on a SEPTA bus has been arrested.

Cassie Darby, 49, is currently being held at the 35th District headquarters.  She is charged with simple assault and reckless endangerment.

Darby's criminal record, which boasts over 30 arrests, dates back to 1985.

Earlier in the week, we showed you the unbelievable video of a woman brutally attacking a passenger on a SEPTA bus in Philadelphia's Germantown section.

The victim, Bastiaan Slabbers,  was getting hit by a woman in pink shirt on a SEPTA bus.

The attack lasted a little more than 10 seconds, but Slabbers says it felt much longer.

Police have released a video of the May 31 attack, hoping to catch the woman responsible.

The 35-year-old journalist says he'd never met or seen the woman before.

Fox 29's Omari Fleming spoke to Slabbers.  The Dutch native's main concern is that it could happen to someone else. SEPTA says they're working to make sure all busses have cameras by next year.
