CLEMENTON, N.J. -

New Jersey state police say a Cumberland County man is responsible for a scare last week at a local amusement park.

Some 5,000 people looking for relief from the heat had to evacuate Splash World in Clementon when someone called in a threat.

Police said Monday that 22-year-old Darnell Loatman, of Bridgeton, was the man who did it.

State police say he also called in a bomb threat to Cumberland Regional High School earlier this month.
