One-Man Crime Spree Getting More Dangerous, Police Say

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Take a good look at this guy. Police say he likes to rob Dunkin' Donuts and Game Stop stores at gunpoint.

In fact, they say he's a one-man crime spree right now, robbing three stores in the last four days.

"He's definitely going up in the danger factor," says Lt. George McClay of Northwest Detectives.

Dressed in polo shirts and carrying a back pack, this guy appears to be getting more and more aggressive with each robbery, and that has police worried.

"What happens when someone doesn't do exactly what he tells them to do?" McClay added.

Last Friday, the gun-toting bandit hit a Dunkin Donuts on the 5300 block of Chew Avenue. Then, on Sunday, he robbed a Game Stop store just a few doors down.

On Monday, he was back at it, robbing a Game Stop on the 2900 block of North Broad and tying up everyone in the place.

According to McClay, "He takes everybody to the back room. He starts using zip ties and duct tape."

Police say the bandit left his fingerprints behind on a note he posted on the front door saying the store was closed while he was robbing the joint.

He may think he's smart, but he wasn't smart enough to avoid the surveillance cameras at each robbery.

"We have great video of him walking out of the place with the facial shots, which anybody's gonna know as soon as they see him," McClay explained.

The suspect is taking money, cell phones and gaming systems from the stores.

There's a $1,000 reward from Game Stop for information leading to an arrest. The FBI is also assisting police in this investigation.
