The first week of NHL free agency has been a bust, so far, for the Flyers.
Hours after they learned Wednesday that top free agents Zach Parise and Ryan Suter decided to sign with the Minnesota Wild, the Flyers lost one of their top defenseman to free agency.
Matt Carle agreed Wednesday night to a 6-year-deal with the Tampa Lightning worth a reported $33 million.
Carle spent three-plus seasons with the Flyers after originally being traded from Tampa Bay.
He had 4 goals, and 34 assists with the Flyers last season.

It was a gloomy Sunday as the whole area remain socked in with low clouds & fog, drizzle and scattered showers.
The weather remains unsettled through most of the work week. The difference is that it will really warm up -- temperatures soar into the 80s by Tuesday. That mild and humid air mass will fuel afternoon thunderstorms.
By Thursday a cold front moves by bringing more rain. It will also bring drier and cooler weather by Friday as we finally clear out.
