Gloucester Township Police have made an arrest and charged a suspect in an overnight barn fire in Blackwood, New Jersey.
The fire was reported around three in the morning Saturday on the 1500 block of Chews Landing Road. Officers arrived on scene observed a fire at a farm and were given a description of a possible suspect involved with the incident. Police were also able to get livestock out of a nearby stable while the fire going on.
Police established a perimeter near the farm and were able to located a suspect that fit description from witnesses. The suspect, Gregory Woodman of Clementon, is charged with two counts of aggravated arson, one count of aggravated assault, and one count of resisting arrest.
The aggravated assault charge comes after a firefighter suffered smoke inhalation at the scene. That firefight was taken to a local hospital and is expected to released later.
Officials continue the investigation to the incident.
