Tons of debris still rest against the Bowman family's row house a month after the collapse next door.
On the other side of this wall bedridden on the first floor, from a nasty fall back in March is 76 year old Nathan Bowman.
Nathan wasn't home when the house next door came crashing through the window into his dining room. But his son Joe arrived soon after.
This view from the Bowman's second floor bathroom puts the collapse into some perspective.
The city's department of Licenses and Inspections came out that very day, on June 9th, to label the collapsed home an imminent danger of further collapse.
I immediately called L & I to get an inspector out to the house to give Nathan some piece of mind.
Good news to report is that L&I said they will award a demolition contract this week and get this partially collapsed home demolished by next week.
The city will foot the bill and then go after the owner of this mess.

Still feels like summer out there. Highs in the mid 80s today. Just like summer, it'll be humid, with a chance of a few spotty showers late in the day.
Tomorrow, strong thunderstorms move through, from the same cold front that caused the midwest tornadoes. That front will also usher in cooler air for the holiday weekend.
