PHILADELPHIA -

A US Airways flight from Charlotte to Rome made an unexpected stop at Philadelphia International Airport on Tuesday night when crew members got sick.

US Airways flight 720, carrying 177 passengers and 12 crew members, was diverted around 10 p.m. Monday night.

SkyFOX was over the scene as five people were taken to the hospital after feeling nauseous from a foul odor on the plane.

They were checked out and then released.

Two crew members were also evaluated, authorities said.

The plane did take off again around 1 a.m. Wednesday.

An investigation is under way to figure out where the odor came from. Officials do not believe this is in any way linked to terrorism.
