Portion Of Freeh Report On Penn State Leaks Online

PHILADELPHIA -

A bombshell report from an internal investigation at Penn State University is getting released this morning, but a sports news website says it has some of the report already.

The document is the result of an investigation conducted by former FBI director and federal judge Louis Freeh into the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse case and the university's handling of it.

DeadSpin.com is reporting Thursday morning that the investigation concludes that legendary football coach Joe Paterno did not "do all he should have" to report Sandusky raping boys and evidence supports Paterno's firing.

DeadSpin also says a significant portion of the Freeh investigation work it obtained was still not finished. But it does reportedly have prepared questions and answers for this morning's 10 a.m. press conference, finding that the Penn State administration failed to act while the Board of Trustees for the university failed to create "an environment that demanded proper conduct."

According to DeadSpin.com, the report goes on to say that former PSU President Graham Spanier's firing was appropriate, too, and that Freeh at this news conference will steadfastly refuse to answer the big question, whether or not the commission believes that there was a cover-up.

The final document is expected to be 150 pages long.

And DeadSpin.com says officials are already preparing to answer questions about difficulties downloading from the website where the report is being released online at 9 a.m., TheFreehReportOnPSU.com.

FOX 29's Steve Keeley has more details in this report from Thursday morning outside the Westin Hotel in Center City.
