People in Flat Rock Park called Lower Merion Police Sunday morning, when they saw a minivan sinking in the Schuylkill River.
Montgomery County rescue crews came out, and pulled the vehicle from the river. Inside, they found the body of a woman in her 40s. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The Montgomery County's coroner was called out to help investigate the cause of death.
Police believe she was the only one in the minivan when it plunged into the river. Police are not releasing any more information about the woman until her family is notified.
A firefighter was also taken to the hospital for a minor injury.

Today's weather? Cloudy, muggy, and eventually, stormy. If you get a strong to severe storm, it would probably be lat afternoon and evening. Highs in the upper 70s. Some of the storms will produce locally heavy rain and gusty winds.
This system is from the same cold front that caused the midwest tornadoes. It will also usher in cooler air for the holiday weekend.
